Historical Background

Sathupally heart of Khammam District has historical background of around 1000 years. Sathupally a village which used to called by name “Saath” since it is union of 7 villages i.e. kakarapally, Rudrakshapally, Nagupally, cherukupally, komay pally, Bathupally later on over time span it become a Sathupally, one of the major towns in Khammam District, A.P. Geographically “SaathuPally” is located in Telanagana region and was once ruled by Nizam’s of Hyderabad.

Well known historical monuments are located in and around Sathupally which are symbolic to great ancient times such as

  •  Neeladri Temple.
  •  Lord Shiva Temple built by kings of Kakatiya dynasty

Saathupally well connected from different parts of AP is located at 80 km from Khammam, 100 km from Vijayawada, 279 km from Hyderabad, 150 km from Rajamundry, 100 km from Eeluru and 85 km from Badrachalam.

Politics one of the important aspects of democratic India and Sathupally people always believed in “Democracy” and they have demonstrated it by exercising their votes and ranked second in terms of voting percentage across India in 2004.

1. eucalyptus clones- which are abundant here and one of the famous eucalyptus clones producers are Vanamali Clones. Which is situated in Nagupalli village 10 km from Sathupalli. Per year there is a production of 30lacs clones which shows the demand for the new way of agriculture in these places because it is very near to (ITC paper factory).
